c'est pas totalement ça.
en fait le XB-70 devait réaliser une série de clichés au profit des journalistes réstés au sol.

le XB-70 était pour l'occasion escorté de 4 appareils (FB-4,F-5A,F-104N,T-38) mais à 9h25 l'un des appareil (le F-104N) c'est approché trop près et  percuta le saumon d'aile du VALKYRIE.
